Mukund teaches in the very classrooms where he once sat as a student. For him, every lecture is a way to inspire the next wave of learners.
“People often assume tribal students are mischievous,” he says with a smile. “But I tell them, these are the most disciplined students I have ever seen.” His story reflects how KISS nurtures not only careers but cycles of mentorship.
“I was once in their place,” she says. “Now I am here to guide them.” Her journey is a reminder of how education multiplies in impact when alumni give back.
He contributes to his village school, even installing fans for the classrooms. “This is my way of giving back,” he explains. His story shows how education sparks responsibility beyond the self.
Her research focused on strengthening Indigenous knowledge systems. Her achievement reflects what tribal women can achieve when given opportunities and a supportive environment.
“The best part is when a child comes up to me and says, ‘I want to be like you.’ That’s when you know you’ve made a difference.”

Since 2017, the KAA has been hosting the Alumni Meet, an annual gathering that reconnects old friends, sparks new collaborations and celebrates the shared journey of KISS graduates. From cultural performances to community dialogues, it’s a reminder that once a part of KISS, always a part of KISS.
