Giving Back, Moving Forward

For many alumni, success is not the end of their journey — it’s a reason to return and invest in the next generation.

Mukund

From Student to Mentor

Post-graduation in Economics, 2017 | UGC-NET | PhD Scholar

Mukund teaches in the very classrooms where he once sat as a student. For him, every lecture is a way to inspire the next wave of learners.

“People often assume tribal students are mischievous,” he says with a smile. “But I tell them, these are the most disciplined students I have ever seen.” His story reflects how KISS nurtures not only careers but cycles of mentorship.

Menaka Hantal

A Dream Fulfilled
MSc Chemistry, 2014 | Teacher at KISS

“I was once in their place,” she says. “Now I am here to guide them.” Her journey is a reminder of how education multiplies in impact when alumni give back.

Sadanath

Remembering His Roots
MCA from KIIT | Executive Trainee

He contributes to his village school, even installing fans for the classrooms. “This is my way of giving back,” he explains. His story shows how education sparks responsibility beyond the self.

Hisi Soren

Breaking New Ground
First woman from KISS with PhD, 2023 | Research Assistant

Her research focused on strengthening Indigenous knowledge systems. Her achievement reflects what tribal women can achieve when given opportunities and a supportive environment.

Rajendra Nachika

Inspiring the Next Generation
BCA from KIIT | Executive Trainee

“The best part is when a child comes up to me and says, ‘I want to be like you.’ That’s when you know you’ve made a difference.”

Student Transformation,
In Their Own Words

At KISS, education is not just about academic success — it changes the course of lives.

For many girls in our communities, marriage often comes as early as 14. At KISS, I had the chance to delay that path and pursue my studies. It gave me the space to dream of a future beyond what was expected of me.

Before I came to KISS, I didn't know what it meant to follow a routine. Here I learnt discipline, hygiene, and responsibility. These small habits have shaped the way I live my life now.

When we return to our villages, people notice the difference — in the way we speak, the way we carry ourselves. Younger children look at us and say, 'I want to study too.' That is how change spreads.

In places where extremism once drew young people away, education is now opening doors. More and more of us are choosing classrooms instead of conflict. It feels like the start of real change.

Future Leaders:
Inspired by Our Alumni

The success of our alumni lights the way for future generations. Every child sees proof that education can transform lives.

"My dream is to become a professor. Education changed my life, and I want to spend mine teaching and guiding others."

My dream is to become a professor...

I want to train hard and represent India...

I hope to become a social worker...

I love creating and drawing...

I want to be a leader in my community...

Annual Alumni Meet

Since 2017, the KAA has been hosting the Alumni Meet, an annual gathering that reconnects old friends, sparks new collaborations and celebrates the shared journey of KISS graduates. From cultural performances to community dialogues, it’s a reminder that once a part of KISS, always a part of KISS.

"Strengthen Alumni, Strengthen KISS."

Our alumni are ambassadors of our mission. By nurturing and empowering them, we ensure that the circle of education, empowerment, and service continues — reaching more lives, more communities, and more futures.
